Dr Ali graduated from Guys & St Thomas Hospital (London) in 1999. He founded Sherwood Dental Practice in 2003 having previously worked in Leamington Spa, Erdington and Walsall.
Dr. Ali has over twenty years’ experience as a general dental practitioner and has a particular interest in, composite bonding, cosmetic makeovers and digital smile design using the latest 5d Itero scanners.
He has carried out thousands of successful procedures involving tooth whitening, composite bonding , general fillings , veneer cases , crowns, and bridge. He is a registered Invisalign braces provider and is also trained in Implant placement
He has previously been a long standing trainer for West Midland Deanery and taught many new dentists starting out in their NHS careers. He is also a mentor for Midlands and East Regional Dental Faculty and has previously given lectures at The Royal College of Surgeons London, Align technology and the Solihull Hospital DFT scheme.
He is a member of the Central England Specialists Peer review group and has also attended multiple post graduate courses throughout Europe and the UK.
He has trained under some industry leading experts and completed several hands-on courses in composite bonding, Invisalign , business management, Implant placement and Digital Dentistry.
He has previously been awarded the Best Young Dentist in the Midlands and appeared in the top 50 most influential dentists in Britain. He has appeared in several articles including the Solihull Observer , Dentistry Magazine, The Sikh Times, Mercedes enthusiast and the Irish Post. He has been a dental advisor to Asian network radio and been a guest speaker on the Danny Kelly Show. He has also appeared on the BBC News on a number of occasions. He enjoys posting stories on Instagram under the name ***designer**dentist where he has almost four thousand followers.*
Dr. Ali is married to Dr Farah Alam and together they have two young children and a German Shepherd called Lexi. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching at the Silhillians Rugby club, painting with acrylics, gardening, property redevelopment and is an avid car enthusiast.
